Abstract: 

Didactic teachings are of common themes in Nizami’s qasidas along with his pentad which has been neglected up to now. In the process of reading these qasidas, it is obvious that he apply persuasion method in expressing didactic issues which means that he tries to convince the concept by methods such as warning, giving good tidings, interrogation style, and condition style. He sometimes applies rhetorical methods such as repetition, allusion, and allegory for convincing the audience. Paying attention to this issue can show the poet's efforts and his attention in making the speech persuasive on the basis of rational and artistic logic to convince the reader and be acceptable. This research applies descriptive method and uses content analysis technique to study didactic verses of Nizami’s qasidas to show his special method in expressing sermon, advice, and sagacity and also be an introduction to these themes in these qasidas.

Dear Editor We have conducted a retrospective study to know the impact of a didactic session on the Ponseti method of clubfoot management. We have compared the outcome of patients managed by orthopaedic residents who attended such a session with that of patients treated by residents who didn’ t get this additional training. The results revealed that the frequency of PTA tenotomy was significantly higher in the additionally-trained group compared to the classicallytrained group, which emphasises the role of regular such meetings. About 80% of patients with clubfoot deformity belong to low and middle-income countries (1, 2). Several studies have indicated that there is a deviation from the Ponseti protocol among the practising physicians of these countries (3-5). One day training courses are carried out in many parts of the world by international organizations dealing with clubfoot to train Ponseti providers. Abstract: 

Didactic poems are one of the areas where interaction between science and literature can be found. In fact, through the ages, literature has done great service for science by preserving knowledge within didactic poems. Also, using didactic poems is considered one of the most effective techniques of learning. Despite this, didactic poetry, which is one of the four main types of poetry in the world, has not been properly reserched and studied. Therefore the aim of this paper is to investigate different aspects of didactic poetry and its role in education, using examples from Persian and Arabic literatures.

Abstract: 

The field of the didactic Persian literature is different not only from style of expressing ideas but it also different from the contents of ideas which they include from very individual aspects to social and political phenomena. In the present study, there is an attempt to examine Persian didactic literature as a gender oriented genre. In other words, this study aims to determine if ethical instructions in the ancient Persian culture as used up to the present time are mostly partial toward education of the male gender. In this light, women, who have been entirely neglected in the so-called educational system, have inevitably based their values and logical on the predominant perspective. Therefore, females have been basically deprived of a significant part of their own entity and as a result they have lost it.

Abstract: 

The study of structure of literary texts can show us the methods of creating concepts in those texts. One of the important genres in the Persian narrative literature is didactic stories. The most important duty of this type of literature is the transformation of moral meanings to readers. The authors of didactic texts employ stories relating to structures accommodated their teleological aims. This paper has introduced and investigated the structure and narrative patterns in the Persian didactic stories. Two types of narrative patterns have a basic function in the story interpretations are as following:Firstly, the pattern of the actor’s obedience to the law and its award and secondly, the pattern of the actor’s refusing to law and its punishment. These patterns are deep structures in most of the didactic stories as well as a direction of interpretation of these stories. Therefore, the narrator’s interpretation is constructed on a linear story telling form which is congruous with one of these patterns. Considering the results of structural researches, this article aims at presenting the dominant patterns in perception of didactic stories. In this article we have investigated the function of these patterns on the plot development, narrative techniques and dominance of the conative function.

Abstract: 

Literature is valuable source for learning information and skills and achieving knowledge about the person himself, others and phenomena of the universe. Meanwhile didactic type is the most important and basic literary genre in literature history of Iran which has been common since formation of Persian literature. The aim of this thesis is not only reminding functions of literature in contemporary era via descriptive-analytical method, but also studying the didactic literature with respect to its function and expressing the features of training via literature. Finally it shows that this type is extended by form, contents and type. This research may shows the position of didactic literature as a art and cultural phenomena in literature work pieces and determine what are these genres for. This research also shows didactic literature has cognitive, verbal, skills and cultural functions and can be seen in various fields such as Children, Public and Internet literature, also in forms of novel, short story, minimalist story, script, drama, weblog and even song. The difference is that in this era, moral, political, social, legal and etc. concepts are implicit and indirect, especially in story literature that teaching concepts is indirect via showing situations and characters.

Abstract: 

In Hafez’ poetry, didactic and lyric literature are combined well, thus the result of these literary genres is using special tone in didactic poems of Hafez. Using emotional sense in short and compress moral stories, Hafez supported a special kind of didactic literature with effective and influent tone, at the same time with moral’s Dos and Don'ts in form of sonnet poem shows the proper way of living in pleasant way to his audiences. In this research, we show not only the effect of tone of voice in understanding Hafez’ poetry but also elements and factors in determining didactic tone in the poets, also its different types in sonnet poems are discussed. The Study of Hafez’s sonnets on base of descriptive-analytical method in horizontal and vertical axis show that he use various types of tone for his audiences but the tone, generally is Non-dominative and good willing. He achieves his favorite didactic tone via choosing suitable words, arranging them in details, setting the music tone also using many variations.

Abstract: 

Shahnameh is undoubtedly among the best works of Persian literature and one of the greatest products of human mind, manifested in the genre of epic poem. The essence of this masterpiece is, in fact, wisdom and sagacity. Firdowsi, the great poet of Toos, is of the conviction that wisdom is the first creation and the masterpiece of God Almighty. The praise of wisdom is noteworthy in Shahnameh and removing such words as ‘wisdom’ and ‘sagacity’ from this colossal work will leave nothing but an empty shell.However, a scrutiny of various aspects of Shahnameh will reveal to any researcher that wisdom, in the eyes of Firdowsi, is part and parcel with religiosity, and sagacity of the impious is to be reprimanded. Therefore, the essence of the Iranian culture, as presented in Shahnameh, is an amalgamation of wisdom and religion. In the present study, the author has attempted to highlight the concept of wisdom and its consequences in Shahnameh, and also shed light on the proximity between wisdom and religion, as well as the profoundness of the phenomenon in Firdowsi’s system of thought.

Abstract: 

Zurkhaneh is a firm phenomenon of Iranian-Islamic culture which contains some didactic characteristics of our ancestors’ traditions. These characteristics are formed by holistic thinking of our ancestors. This holistic thinking a whole has unified different parts of these characteristics. According to the holistic minds of the Iranian people, all elements of a phenomenon have been seeking to achieve a goal. Architecture and music as, respectively, the objective and the subjective elements which are located at the two ends of the spectrum of Zurkhaneh phenomena are proofs for the claim that Zurkhaneh is formed for training and education of heroic and humane characters.This study aims to find the educational perspective which is common between these objective (architecture) and subjective (music) elements of Zurkhaneh. Based on the findings of this study, the architecture and the music of Zurkhaneh aim to, make people interested in Zukhaneh ideas and, moreover, to place these ideas in their minds. They try to achieve this goal through simplicity and getting close to people’s lives, getting away from artificiality and specialized complexities as well as adherence to the principles of simplicity and convenience. In this framework, architectural and musical components are selected such that one can easily create them or keep them in mind. Scrutability, simplicity, and humanism were of the features which realize the aim of the establishers of zurkhaneh phenomenon. All of these features are manifested in zurkhaneh architecture and music. This is a qualitative study which seeks some instances of the two elements of architecture and music by incorporating field and library methods for data collection. Finally, using content analysis and content comparison of the data obtained by information analysis, it explores the correspondence between these two elements.

Abstract: 

Didactic literature covers a wide range of literature. Many poets that had written Persian didactic poetry have been familiar with the various sciences. Thus have enriched the literature. Among this sciences the arguments of kalam is Considerable. Poets written their poem influence of theology region that believed them and discussed about them. This issue has received little attention in literature.Therefore this easy identifies the areas of theology and theological opinions, which have been discussed in the literature.Finally the impact on science, theology and philosophy developed in the literature are discussed.
